A Sneak Peek Through Prologue and Episode Preview

The 20th episode of the drama left off at Han Tae-joon (Han Jin-hee) taking away Lee Soo-yeon (Yoon Eun-hye), and Jung-woo stepping into the shed that left him and Soo-yeon traumatized 16 years ago to find Soo-yeon.

While Jung-woo and Soo-yeon had proposed to each other, and Jung-woo had obtained the critical evidence pointing to Harry’s serial killing, the preview movie of the next episode showed Soo-yeon shaking with fear, Harry wailing with blood on his hands, and someone undergoing an emergency surgery, pointing to the fact that the ending may not be as happy as we think.

The prologue of the drama showed Han Jung-woo pointing a gun at someone, collapsing as if he had been shot, and Harry wailing with blood on his hands next to a prone and immobile body of a man, suggesting a tragic ending. Some have raised the possibility of the sad ending on the Internet as well, while most wish for a happy ending for the tragic protagonists.

Many are asking for a happy ending of the poor protagonists in the official homepage of the drama. Viewers wish to see Soo-yeon and Jung-woo being reunited and happy despite their tragic past.

A representative of the drama commented that “we cannot confirm the ending until the filming of the drama is wrapped up” and “everyone in the set has thought about the ending of the drama”.

He continued, “since the beginning of the drama and Lee Soo-yeon’s rape, ‘I Miss You’ has contained those who live with wounds and those who gave the wounds” and “in some respect, I think the drama’s ending will be the one which depicts and heals their wounds”.

The production conference of the drama on last year’s December also dropped hints of the drama’s ending as well.

Park Yoochun, on the question of the projected ending of the drama, commented “we actors and staff often come together to talk about it, and we probably have to wait for the episodes to say definitely, but some of us think that happy ending wouldn’t be so suitable” and “the director thinks that the happy ending wouldn’t work and I also believe that sad ending would be better for the drama”.

He commented, “I think the drama would be better if it ended on a sad and dark tone, rather than bright, whether it be tragic or not” and “the drama then will have an impact on both the viewers and us”.

Despite the drama’s foreshadowing and implications hinting a sad ending for the protagonists, the real ending for the drama will have to wait until the drama’s airing on 17th.

The music video of the title song “MINE’ from Kim Jaejoong’s solo mini-album was finally unveiled.

The MV was released on the 17th on JYJ’s official Youtube account and has attracted explosive attention from fans both domestic and abroad with hundreds of comments within hours.

At the beginning of the music video, Kim Jaejoong appeared mysteriously innocent then panned to being chained painfully then turns into a surreal character in the second half with every scene showing grisly-perfected visuals.

Official said, “Kim Jaejoong’s visual was enough to complete the dramatic story. The MV is grand and it is appropriate for a title track and the crystal sound of guitars really stood out. Kim Jaejoong gave unprecedented visual from being transformed into a vampire to boast of a surreal beauty and the power of the dark angel through the video.”

The MV started with Kim Jaejoong showing confusion then suffering from oppression and defilement then breaking away from the mold to protect something important then eventually gaining redemption. The artwork for the seven sets was shot precisely to express all the emotions of this story. The nation’s leading art director Dae Suyeon took part in making this music video.

In addition, the official in charge of styling and art, “The overall look and feeling is dark and grotesque. For intense visuals, special outfits and hats were made with the help of famous designer Song Hyemyung.”

The music video has an explosive reaction. The video immediately ranked high in domestic search portal sites and fans from around world commented, “I’m so excited I can’t even sit properly.”, “ He looked so perfect in the teaser video. Am I going to be alive after the video? Lol.”

On the other hand, Kim Jaejoong’s solo mini-album will be released offline on Jan 17. In addition, he will have a concert ‘Your, My, and Mine’ on Jan 26-27 to be held in Kintex Ilsan. All 16,000 seats are sold out.

Kim Bada of ‘Art of Parties’ lent his weight [to the song] as a composer. The solid drum line and rendition of synthesizer on guitar backing gives the sound of a rock ballad a lively vibe through the incorporation of pop’s softness. With this, the protagonist of the song, who has a clear yet husky voice, combined with a strong foundation in singing ability, performs what one can call an excellent piece of vocal acting while walking a fine line between the sweetness of ballad and the wildness of rock.

The single One Kiss, is from his first solo album. If you think about his career as a singer, you can’t say it is not late. But if you consider his solo concert slated at the end of this month, the timing couldn’t get more appropriate. With this, he has presented JYJ fans a single that is full of rock sounds and serves as a fun comparison point to Kim Junsu’s album that puts emphasis on contemporary R&B sound. It is a high-riding piece of music that enlarges his career as an artist and brings a diversity of colors to the group JYJ.

Translation Note:
1. Art of Parties is a newly launched rock band by Kim Bada
2. Just in case you complain about the score 3.5, I ask you to compare it to the scores that other artists’ songs have received from IZM. (LinkThis is a very high score they have given! And for your information, IZM is one of the most credible music review sites in South Korea.
