The year of 2012 means a lot for JYJ′s Kim Junsu. It was a year in which his feats as a member of his group and as a solo singer both prospered.

This year he released his first solo album, successfully led a world tour with his name on it and as a musical actor, won the Best Actor Award.

While his fellow JYJ members Park Yoo Chun and Kim Jae Joong took on acting, Kim Junsu led a successful career as a singer despite his inability to appear on TV to perform.

In a meeting with enews at Germany, his last destination in his world tour, Kim Junsu said he had felt “half scared, half excited” about the decision to release his first solo album. It was a big challenge for him to release a full-length album in such difficult conditions.

His concerns, however, turned out to be for nothing. His first album Tarantallegra managed to receive favorable reviews thanks to the variety of online marketing methods and his strong fan base. He even managed to draw up his courage to launch a world tour alone.

The tour first started off as an Asia tour in six countries. He first set sail with a total of 35,000 people, gathered across Seoul, Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. He then traveled to New York on August 30 and then went through the Americas, dropping by at L.A., Mexico, Brazil and Chile. Finally on November 30, he topped off with a concert in Germany, and finished the tour that had drawn 53,800 people in total across four continents in 12 cities.

Thanks to his great feats overseas, on December 7, he won an award from international press for spreading awareness of Korea.

Kim Junsu even boasted a strong showing on various charts. Tarantallegra ranked no. 10 on the Billboard World Albums Chart and no. 1 on iTunes Japan and Yinyuetai.

Like he said himself, 2012 was “a meaningful year” for Kim Junsu. It was a year in which he confirmed his status as a leader of K-Pop.

I don’t know how i must put these feeling into the words. There are many mixed feeling in my chest that right now. I always said this over and over again that i really proud to the boys….they never stop to makes me amazed with every thing that they already showed til now.

I am  sad because this boy still keep endure unfair and injustice treatment from some people, i also felt angry every time i read or saw how the government or some people still give a ridiculous or lame excuse for cover up the injustice that the boys get. But i also thought about this again and again……..there are many troubles that the boys must faced which in the end became a blessing for the boys.

Thanks to God, now the boys can started to be recognized as a group with a many talents. Even though they are not in a big entertainment agency, not being supported by a big amount of money like their condition in the past, not able to promote in music  show,  instead being disappeared or down which some people really wanna see it happen and i am sure many people really looking down them especially when the boys decided to walk out from their previous agency.

The boys proved them that they are wrong…….The boys keep stand up and learn to cope with everything that started changes and which makes me very glad. The boys keep being humble and always appreciate to everything that they have. The boys started to show their real talents that keep bury in deep of the darkness when they are still their previous agency. Even though they allowed to create a new songs or do what they can do but it seem that SM not give the boys chance to exploring their talents more and i guess i already figured out why those people do that and my suspicious about it is proved by how fast the talents that the boys have started to grew and showing the result after they left that agency.

Thanks to God for everything that the boys have and faced makes them became like now. I am really grateful that God give this path for the boys. It’s true that the journey is still long and hard but if it’s compared with the achievements and the unforgettable moments that the boys have, i guess it’s nothing…..I always believed that the banning thing is one part of trouble that disguised to be a blessing for the boys. Maybe God create a wall (with a banned matter) so the boys can achieve every things that they got now which they maybe can’t have it if they already got their freedom. Everything happen because there are a reason behind it and every problem always have the solution.

Congratulations Junsu-ah…………!!!!

after receiving Popularity award

A few days ago, I was interviewed and asked when I felt happy while playing in musical. I simply answered that it was when I hear the applause from the audience in curtain call. This award seems just like a curtain call to me.

When I had an interview a while back, I was asked ‘When are you the happiest when doing musicals?’. I thought about it simply and said that I am happiest during the curtain call when the musical ends and I hear the cheers and applause of the audience. This award is like a curtain call to me. I believe this is an award telling me to work harder, and I will become an even better Kim Junsu (via ohmyjunsu)

after receiving Best Actor Award

First of all, I want to direct this glory to God in the sky. I didn’t think I would receive such a big award like this… I am very grateful that many people, and also many actors/actresses treated me so well. Also, to every actor/actress and staff who have been with me since 3 years ago, since the musical Mozart and to all the audience, I want to say thank you. I am so puzzled right now. My mind went blank.

Above all, to my parents who are always by my side and whom I love so much, thank you very much. I also want to say thank you to my CEO, Baek Changjoo who is always my strong support amidst many changes and also all the staff in CJeS.To my members Yoochun and Jaejoong who gave me a lot of courage when I first stepped in the musical industry, sincerely thank you. EMK family also gave me a lot of encouragements so that I can play in musicals. To many staff and actors/actresses who have helped me – someone who used to know nothing about musical, put on the title ‘actor’, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

To me, musical is not just musical, it has a really special meaning. Through musical, I got to stand on stage again, to sing, to be invited to award ceremony like this, to receive the award that I thought I could never receive. To all musical audience, to everyone, sincerely thank you. I am so grateful and in the future, I will try my best to repay your love for me, to become an actor who put efforts in contributing, though just a bit, to the musical industry.
