A fan, whom I met at Seoul Jamsil Indoor Stadium on May 20th when a popular group JYJ’s member Kim Junsu held his first solo concert, expressed her concern that “the reality of a competent artist with many talents being boycotted by broadcasting companies is sorrowful. I do not know until when they have to be chained to unfair restrictions and pressures.”
A middle aged female fan who lives in Yangchun-gu, Seoul asked back “is it logical that there is no television stage, which a leader of Hallyu(Korean wave) star can stand on after releasing the solo album?” and she hoped “not only Kim Junsu but JYJ members can share musical communion with the public on television as soon as possible.”
Fans’ resentments toward music programs, which shut their doors to the appearance of JYJ, is getting higher again. This became stronger after Kim Junsu’s concert.
Fans are expressing their sadness that they “cannot see JYJ on music programs although they are one of best singers regarding their abilities and presence in Korea” and opposed to this situation by saying “this (banning JYJ) is a great loss in Korean music industry” on various internet communities.
Kim Junsu honestly confessed the reality and his worry during the press conference for the release of his album: “making the album under the assumption that I cannot be on television was one of the greatest worries (I had). This is an obvious situation which made me enervated.”
Most officials/staffs of entertainment industry have the same view that JYJ being banned on music program, which already became long-term, is abnormal and deformed.
The fact that their music cannot be aired on television, despite the fact that three members have already won various suits including the exclusive contract suspension injunction against ex-company SM Entertainment and the fact that the court has guaranteed their freedom for entertainment activities including appearing on television, proves there is a group of unfair and unjust authority in the broadcasting industry.
Thus we can point out that they (JYJ) became victims of the fight for hegemony which derived from the composition of authority in entertainment industry and broadcast industry.
However, we have to cognize the fact that the channels where their music can be shared have increased and their effects surpassed the effects by media while JYJ has been completely isolated and restricted from the broadcasting industry.
Fans, who love JYJ, have increased all over the world and became more intimate. Members imprinted their presences to the public through various areas including music, drama, musical and etc. and have armed more firmly.
In reality, the music video ‘Tarantallegra,’ the title song of Kim Junsu’s solo album attracted viewers around the world as soon as it has been released and passed 3million views. Also, his album sold more than 100 thousand copies beating Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber in ITunes, Rakuten, Amazone Japan, and etc in Japan. This result is more valuable as he has achieved it without any activity in Japan recently.
Prohibition on JYJ appearing on television is no longer appropriate or persuasive. It is embarrassing because ‘neglecting’ JYJ continuously caused the exposure of unfair/narrow-minded relationship between Korean popular music industry and the broadcast industry to the global music market.
It is compromising that backwardness of Korean pop music industry has been exposed to Hallyu (Korean wave) fans. In one word, it (JYJ being boycotted) is a waste/loss for national power of Hallyu.
Maybe fans’ complaints and appeals toward broadcasting companies, which have high barriers and restrictions against JYJ, might be portrayed undersized. It might seem reckless and portrayed as throwing an egg against the rock. [TN: It is a Korean proverb/idiom which means ‘beating one’s head against a wall’]
However, the broadcasting companies, which truckled to the large authority of entertainment industry, should remember: there are many methods to break the rock/wall, and that disgusting ‘stain,’ even if it is hard to break a wall with eggs, will remain in the memory of the history forever.
i really love this report……and i can’t say more except agree with this reporter. If the banning keep going then SK…..be ready for get a great loss especially in entertainment industry. maybe it’s true that money is an important thing in this world but there are so many things in this world can’t be bought by money. For those people who keep denied the boys existence in SK entertainment industry, remember this :

Fanmeeting – Part 1
I would be lying if I said today is the happiest day of my life but it’s definitely in the top 3.
10 days ago I received an email informing me to collect my KJJ Taipei Fanmeet on the day of the fanmeeting. I couldn’t believe it! I had placed the order via fax never expecting that I could actually be given one given that tickets were totally sold out in under half hour when they went on sale.
Like crazy I had to make plans – book an air ticket and hotel and divert all my daily routines.
So to cut to the chase, I picked up my ticket today and I got FRONT ROW SEATS!!!!! Not only that they were FRONT ROW AND CENTER AISLE seats. Unobstructed view of the most gorgeous man on the planet!
The show started right on time, with the MC doing a quick introduction and a video and then Jae came on stage. OMFG!!!!! He sang his song from the Protect the Boss OST. Ok, honestly his singing wasn’t perfect. I think he’s been off singing for a while now so he’s rusty. Nonetheless, he was still better than 99.999999% of the people who sing for a living
Under the spotlight, his skin seems almost translucent. Seriously, he would beat Robert P. hands down if he entered a vampire look-alike competition. His skin is flawless, I can almost imagine how water would form droplets and just run off his skin when he bathes. *sigh*
His hair was slicked back on his right side, (which he favors) to show off his beautiful jaw line. I’m glad that in person his face doesn’t seem as sallow and sunken as some of his recent photos have shown. I guess it would be not quite right for a military office in the Josen to have chubby cheeks too. His bangs were combed so they were just covering his left eye – something he also favors coz he seems to not like showing his full face at events.
He has the most beautiful nose – something that people don’t usually talk about but my nose is very lacking so I always take a bit more notice of people’s noses and his is PERFECT! His eyes are deep set and almond shaped. Not round which would be too feminine. His lips….. OMG those lips…. those lips…. I’m going to dream about kissing those lips tonight.
Did I mention that he was probably less than 10m away from me most of the time when he was on stage? He was THAT CLOSE! I could see his jugular throbbing when he sang the high notes in the songs.
He is very thin. U know how some guys can fill up a pair of jeans quite nicely (like Junsu ^^) but Jae was swimming in his jeans. I’m scared to imagine what he would look like in his briefs. His buttocks are seriously non existent. That’s why he envies Junsu I guess. His legs are also really skinny for such a tall man. He was wearing those jeans with the horizontal tears along the entire front part of the legs. Again, those were meant to be skinny jeans and he was swimming in those too.
Usually his chest fills up his V-neck Tee quite nicely. Today his white V-neck Tee fitted a bit loosely. His jacket was nice – looks like the one he wore for the Protect the Boss press conference. Fortunately, his skinniness is covered up when he wears his costume for Dr Jin.
He’s got nice big hands! Me LIKES that VERY VERY MUCH! You know what they say about guys with big hands right *wink wink*
After the song, the MC came on stage, and the usual greetings followed. Jae was pleasantly surprised when the fans seemed to understand (and responded) to what he was saying without the translator’s help. But it was the usual Hello, long time no see, are you doing well? stuff. The MC had the staff bring in Jae’s bag, so that he could share it’s contents. That boy carries around glucosamine, omega 3 and some liver supplements in his bag!
10 lucky fans were chosen to go and stage and play a game with Jae. Charades – with Jae being it. He acted out working out, freestyle, abs, flower boy and some others I forgot. The MC made Jae show off his abs. NICE! He has nice looking abs for someone with such a tiny waist. Puts me to shame even though I work out 4x a week at the gym.
They played another video here and then had Jae come on again (he had a quick change of clothes too)to play a draw and guess game with 3 lucky fans. He drew the Xiao Long Bao (which he tweeted later he ate after the show ^^), Bubble Tea and Junsu! The drawing of Junsu was hilarious coz he basically just drew the side profile of some sort of stick man with big buttocks. And cute Jae was concentrating so hard while he was drawing, with pursed lips and all.
Jae sang For You – the one from the Thanksgiving concert. He made a few mistakes with the lyrics but other than that, it was just perfect. He hit those high notes perfectly This song is probably my all time favorite solo by Jae, and I was so pleased that I was able to hear it live.
The fanmeet ended slightly more that an hour and a half. Even though it was short, I was happy. You can really feel Jae’s love for his fans. After the third video was played (the video was basically about how the fans will always be there for him, he only has to turn around when he feels disheartened and see that we are always there supporting him), Jae came on stage with tears in his eyes. He has come a long way since the split from SM. All the heartaches and tears since then, we can only imagine how much he has suffered.
Jae talked about how they would likely work on the 2nd JYJ album after filming for Dr Jin is completed. I can’t wait, coz it means another world tour would be happening too
I can only dream about when the next time I can ever to be close to Jae again (physically i mean) The fans were really the best tonight. I attended Kim Hyun Joong’s fanmeet recently too, and believe me the fan response was lukewarm at best compared to what I felt tonight.
Ok. I probably had 3 hours of sleep last night. My eyes are blood shot but I’m feeling on top of the world. The fanaccount I wrote earlier was just off the top of my head. No sequence of events. I’m going to add bits and pieces as I remember more.
Jae has great skin. Given that the stylist probably slapped some BB cream on (which I thought was probably very little – I couldn’t see any color difference at his jawline/neckline), he had no visible blemishes, no visible pimples, no visible pimple scars, no big pores. Again, when I last saw Kim Hyun Joong(KHJ fans don’t bash me….) , you could see his stylist had slapped on far too much BB cream. It was such a thick coat you could see it a mile away. Unlike Micky whose pimple scars are really obvious(ok… fans find it sexy….), I really didn’t find any on Jae’s face. That boy’s skin is a girl’s greatest nightmare – it really is that perfect! The only “flaw” on his face? His eye bags – but that it probably due to his nightmare filming schedule.
During the fanmeet, Jae whined/complained that he found that he had aged a lot since he last met the fans in Taipei, just like with everyone else in the audience – more wrinkles on his forehead. He cutely scrunched his face so that the forehead wrinkles were more conspicuous. Those too promptly disappeared once he relaxed his facial muscles. The MC said that even if he was a pimple face and full of wrinkles, the fans would still love him – to which the fans loudly agreed in unison. LOL.
During the first game, Jae had to act out flower boy. That one stumped all the 10 fans on stage. Finally when the MC revealed the answer, Jae cutely made an effort to pose again. He had one leg up on the speaker on stage, bent forward, and then swept his right hand back (Happy Days Fonzie style) across the right side side of his face. The screams were deafening. LOL. U could tell Jae was in a good mood. Yay!
He also acted out the freestyle swimming pose – complete with standing at the starting podium, jumping off the podium, and coolly swimming across the stage. Baby is just far too CUTE!
While acting out the working out pose, he did some push ups on stage but sadly my view was blocked by that damned speaker
When Jae sang “NO GAIN”, you could tell he was proud to sing it. Not half hearted like a person sometimes does when he has no choice. When the fans sang along at the Baby Baby … part, he was clearly pleased that the fans knew the song so well!
Something I missed last night which I hoped to be able to see, was Jae sticking out his tongue. You know the way he sexily just sticks it out the corner of his mouth, he didn’t do it one time the whole night, as far as I could see. Sigh….
I really like the MC last night. He was great in bringing out Jae’s playful side. They were giving each other playful slaps/pushes the whole time – each time drawing screams from the fans. Oh, Jae gave the MC a US$2 note as a gift.
Jae apologised sheepishly after singing FOR YOU. He said that it was a type of song where you need to prepapre yourself to sing, like getting into the mood. This song was just after the 2nd game (I think) and he was slightly taken aback when the MC told him it was time to sing. Haha. Poor Jae. He said he didn’t really get the mood and got some lyrics wrong. But then, no one in the audience was complaining I was just happy to hear him sing this song LIVE.
There was segment when they brought on a board stuck full with post-its which fans had written their questions earlier. One of the questions picked was what he would like to give to his gf for a Valentine’s Day gift. Jae said that rather than giving her a surprise, he would prefer to give her something she wants so he would ask her first. My type of man! I sometimes hate surprise gifts to which I am supposed to pretend to like but actually I don’t…
Another question was about why he liked elephants. Jae said that many years ago on a trip to Thailand, he said that he would like to take a ride on an elephant but didn’t have the chance. That comment over the years evolved to him liking elephants. He said that his house is full of elephant gifts from fans. A fan held up a green colored stuff toy elephant, and Jae commented “I have 30 of that particular stuff toy elephant at home!” LOL
He was also asked if he preferred older or younger women – he passed on that one He also answered one of his sequence of washing when he takes a bath. He said he shampoos his hair, washes that off then puts on conditioner. Then he brushes his teeth. After which he washes the conditioner from the hair. Then he washes his body. I’m certain the fan meant the question to ask how he washed his body, but Jae sneakily skimmed past that part. Clever boy! LOL
When they played the fan made video, Jae was standing stage right. The video was made for him, and he watched with everyone else. Basically the video talked how Jae once said fans were like eye-lashes. They drop but they grow back. Fans wanted Jae not to forget that we will always be there. He only needs to turn around sometimes to see us behind him supporting him. The text in video was in T Chinese and Korean so Jae could understand. When it ended and Jae came on stage, the tears in his eyes. Sigh…. I’m tearing up now just remembering that. He choked up slightly when he answered the first question after the video, calmly cleared his throat, laughed his nervous laugh and carried on.
His teeth I think Jae’s got pretty big teeth. LOL. It’s really obvious because his face is a bit thin now. He smiled a lot last night. And flashed those pearly whites every single time. He shows his entire set of teeth – both the upper and lower (most people show only the upper set), so u can’t really miss how big they are. LOL

1. Kim Jaejoong’s second drama, but his first in a period drama. How will his acting fare this time?
2. Based on the Japanese manga series JIN, which was also previously adapted into a japanese drama JIN. This drama marks the comeback of Song Seung Hun, how will he portray the character?
3. Apart from the leading actors, the supporting cast is equally eye-catching: Lee Beomsu, Lee Soyeon – it will be a visual feast!
Filming has begun on The Jackal Is Coming, an action comedy movie that pretty much hooked my interest with its one-line premise: A bungling killer (Song Ji-hyo) is hired to kidnap an pop singer (Jaejoong) and fails in multiple ways to kill him. There’s no mention of it in the description so far, but does she also fall in love with him? That’s the obvious conclusion, isn’t it? Obvious in the way of Korean movies and dramas, I mean, not obvious in the way of life, because that’s just insane.
The casting seems pretty spot-on, and the goofy plotline has plenty of comic possibilities. I’m basically seeing it as another version of the Myung-wol the Spy concept, except hopefully funnier, and with a hopefully less asstastic hero. Basically I’m just looking for somebody to reboot that premise and do it justice, since I want it to work, despite the mess that the series was.
Meanwhile, the pop singer will also have a dogged, invasive stalker (the kind known as a “sasaeng fan,” which describes those fans with no concept of boundaries or privacy concerns when it comes to their favorite idol oppas), played by Joo Min-ha (Queen of Housewives).
These stills come from the movie’s first shoots, taken in a factory where our heroine, Song Ji-hyo, finds herself in the midst of a police chase. The role calls for a decent amount of action, as these stills suggest, and I think I’ve seen enough of Ace Ji-hyo on Running Manto say she’s up to the task.

JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong held a successful fanmeeting in Taipei, Taiwan.
According to C-JeS Entertainment, Kim Jae Joong entered Taiwan through the Taoyuan International Airport on May 23 for his solo fanmeeting 2012 Kim Jae Jong Fan Meeting in Taipei.
Despite the fact that he entered the country on a weekday, about 600 fans gathered at the airport to welcome him to their country, and Kim Jae Joong answered their passionate calls with a smile.

Kim Jae Joong announced the start of the fanmeeting with his performance of I’ll Protect You from Protect the Boss’ OST, and For You, another film OST.
He then played games with his fans, revealed what he carries around in his bag and sang his self-written song No Gain, which he gave as a present to Kim Junsu for his solo album, without any accompaniment. The two hours he devoted to his fans were enough to make them happy.
He also seemed to have spread the Korean wave even farther. As all of you know that our Kim Junsu will have his 1st Asia Tour Concert in Bangkok on this May 27th, so we, Thai fans, have thought about doing something special for him in this event, then we have an idea to make a project that will cheer him up, give a surprise on him and impresses him at the same time, and we all can do it together as one in the name of “Kim Junsu Lovers”
—– PROJECT 1 : “Shining XIA♥ for JUNSU’s 1st Asia Tour in Bangkok” —–
Introduction :
– Junsu always express how he love and proud of his name ‘XIA‘, he never leaves this name or even change signature, so we fans want to show him how we admire and trust this name of him too.
Project plan :
– To make a word ‘XIA♥’ with glowing lightsticks in zone E1-E4 (1,000 THB seats), each block will hold an alphabet for XIA♥, E4 for X, E3 for I, E2 for A and E1 for ♥
– The word ‘XIA♥‘ will be yellow lightsticks while the background will be red lightsticks
– This project will be run throughout the concert, whenever Junsu look at the back of the hall he will see our big ‘XIA♥‘ glowing beautifully
How to do :
– When the concert starts, there’ll be concert teaser or introduction video clip, followed by Junsu appearing so cool on stage, when he’s appearing, everyone in zone E1-E4 will bend the lightsticks (to make it glow) and raise them at the same time, so when Junsu fully appear on stage, the big ‘XIA♥‘ will also appear to greet him in this concert.
– When holding the project’s lightsticks, please turn off the lightsticks in other color so that there will only be red & yellow lightsticks in project zones.

Using the name ‘XIA’, JYJ Kim Junsu has held his own solo concert.
Considering that the album can’t be promoted on TV, this concert has a special meaning for Kim Junsu and his fans as this is the only place where Kim Junsu can fully reveal his true self through his songs after 8 years.
At 6pm, May 20, XIA’s first Asia tour concert officially started at Jamsil Indoor Stadium, Seoul.
◆XIA’s sexy allure which no one can take their eyes off
After the fireworks sparked from the middle of the stage, Kim Junsu appeared on stage just like a magician. Opening with the song ‘Breath’, Kim Junsu overwhelmed the audience in one stroke with his pelvis dance moves and sexy gaze. After that, two female dancers appeared and lied down on his thigh from both sides and get fully intoxicated by his sweet lullaby. He was alone onstage but the stage was full of his presence. His eight years of experience shone brightly. Kim Junsu soared high not with TVXQ or JYJ, but alone in his first solo concert held from May 19-20.
He showed how much effort he had put into the concert in the performances for the songs from his first solo album. He started with Breath, and sang his way through No Gain, Even Though You Already Know and Around and Around.
Kim Junsu’s teamwork with the eight foreign dancers, four men and four women, was also a sight to see. Jeri Slaughter, Christina Aguilera’s choreographer, had picked out the members of the dance team through an audition held in America, and the team helped make Kim Junsu’s performance shine.
The performance of Kim Junsu’s first single cut Tarantallegra, the title of a ′magic spell′ , made the singer’s audience feel as if they had been pulled into a mystic world. The large LED screen, 7m high and 12m wide, and a 10m high pyramid lift, used for the first time ever in Korea, all added to the experience.
Kim Junsu then turned on the sexy with his performances of Lullaby and Fever. His use of mirrors in the performance for Lullaby was especially intriguing. Moreover, he showed his polished acting skills from his experience as a musical actor through Even Though You Already Know, I Don’t Like Love and You are so Beautiful. It was as if his audience was watching on as he performed in a full musical.

“I was hesitant on releasing a solo album because of the many limits I face, but I think it’s great that I did. Kim Jun-su’s debut solo album has topped Japan’s iTunes chart just days after being released on May 15.
According to Japanese iTunes on Friday, the album entitled “Xia Tarantallegra” overtook Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga to take the coveted spot on the iTunes Album Chart.
The singer is hugely popular in Japan, and fans there put their names down on a waiting list to purchase the album even before its official release date.
The album also became the most ordered in May on Tower Records’ and Amazon Japan’s Web sites.
“As the singer has been active in Japan until recently, his popularity is just surging,” said a representative from Kim’s agency, CJeS Entertainment.

Junsu’s first solo album Xia Tarantallegra claimed the 9th spot on Oricon’s weekly album chart upon its release on May 20. His smooth start didn’t go unnoticed since his album climbed the chart so quickly within its first day of release.
His twin brother, Junho, isn’t far behind. His single “Everything” which was released on May 16, reached the 10th place on Oricon’s weekly singles Chart.
With the recent success of K-pop in Japan, seeing Korean singers/groups securing spots in the top 10 on Japan’s Oricon chart isn’t rare. However, seeing twin brothers ranking high on Oricon’s weekly chart is rare enough to draw much attention.
Following his successful first solo concert in Seoul, Kim Junsu is preparing to kick off his Asia tour.
On May 27, Kim Junsu will stand on Bangkok, Thailand’s Royal Siam Paragon′s stage to perform for his XIA 1st Asia Tour in Thailand concert and will effectively launch his Asia solo tour.
Both Kim Junsu and his agency are highly anticipating the upcoming Thailand concert as his agency C-Jes Entertainment said, “The first-round of sales for the Thailand concert sold out in ten minutes. In addition, the shocking music video is bringing a hot response in Thailand.”
Also with Kim Junsu’s powerful vocals, which he will show in full-force, his shocking performances and high-caliber dance moves are anticipated to daze concert-attenders. Kim Junsu will also hold time to discuss his solo album and reveal amusing episodes from the album’s production.
Kim Junsu’s Asia tour will begin in Thailand and will eventually bring him through seven cities in total.
JYJ’s Kim Junsu’s first solo album Tarantallegra is continuing to find success in charts abroad and has most recently placed in the Billboard World Albums Chart.
Recently, Billboard unveiled its chart ranking for the week of June 2, 2012.
Making its debut on the charts, Tarantallegra was found to have placed tenth on the chart. Astounding is the fact that Kim Junsu has not been able to perform any of his album’s songs in Korea and yet still managed to achieve this feat.
Since Tarantallegra’s release on May 15 the album has enjoyed immense success both in Korea and abroad and was even sold out in several stores.
Kim Junsu is currently on a seven-city Asia solo tour to promote and perform his solo album.
The one reason that makes me really proud and i guess i also never felt regret to follow JYJ is these boys always keep showed to the world that even thought they have a limited access to meet their fans but it’s doesn’t makes them give up……They keep fight and stand up by their own way
